The design of the mosque is inspired by the traditional Islamic architecture of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, while integrating contemporary architectural principles based on simplicity and sustainability. The project aims to create a calm and spiritual environment that enhances the worshippers’ experience and serves the community.
The design is centered around a main entrance hall (foyer) that acts as a transitional space between the outdoor areas and the prayer hall, helping to organize circulation and prepare worshippers for the spiritual experience. Surrounding the mosque are carefully designed outdoor spaces and landscaping, which provide areas for waiting and rest, and function as visual and functional extensions of the building.
The design emphasizes privacy for worshippers through thoughtfully designed openings and façades inspired by traditional Islamic patterns, allowing natural light to enter while preserving the sanctity of the interior spaces. Local architectural elements and materials suited to the climate and environment are incorporated to reinforce cultural identity.
The project also promotes environmental sustainability by utilizing natural ventilation, reducing reliance on mechanical systems, and using local materials to enhance energy efficiency and preserve the authentic architectural character.
